About the Author:

Dr. Uva de Aragón is a renowned writer, journalist, and author of more than a dozen books, including the novels, both translated and published in English, The Memory of Silence (2014) and The Miracle of Saint Lazarus: A Mystery More Than Twenty Years in the Making (2019), her first thriller with Cuban-American detective María Duquesne. She earned her Ph.D. in Latin American Literature at the University of Miami. Until her retirement in 2011, she was a professor and Associate Director of the Cuban Research Institute (CRI) at Florida International University.
