About The Links, Incorporated
The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of nearly 15,000 professional women of color in 288 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
The Greater Miami (FL) Chapter was organized in 1955 and has made significant contributions to the South Florida community and beyond through its transformational programming. This programming is documented in approximately 4000+ hours of service annually in the following five (5) facets: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services and Health and Human Services.
About ColorComm
Founded in 2011 by Lauren Wesley Wilson, ColorComm caters to women working in various spectrums of communications including Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Advertising, Print Media, Broadcast, Digital and more. It has a two-fold mission to personally connect women with other like-minded individuals and build a strong network of leaders by creating mentors/mentees, business relationships and friendships. Miami is ColorComm’s ninth chapter and its only one in Florida.
