Editorial Ultramar, the publishing division of the non-profit ArtesMiami, presents its newest poetry publication: El silencio y la furia by award-winning, Miami-based Cuban-American poet Lilliam Moro.
According to the editor of El silencio y la furia, literary critic and writer Luis de la Paz, these poems of have “a special ability to surprise…they grow, transform themselves, until they drill into the reader, who is absorbed by them.”

In 1965 her book of poems El extranjero (The Foreigner) won First Prize in a contest between the three universities of the island. Lilliam has published the following books of poetry: La cara de la guerra (The Face of the War) (Madrid, 1972), Poemas del 42 (Poems of 42) (Madrid, 1989), Cuaderno de La Habana (Havana Notebook) (Madrid, 2005), Obra poética casi completa (Poetic Work Almost Complete) (Miami, 2013), Contracorriente (Counter-Current), winner of the prestigious international prize “Pilar Fernández Labrador”, Salamanca, Spain, 2017.
