Ken Treister
This event is FREE & OPEN to the public
Gardens, Architecture & Art introduces us to author Kenneth Treister’s passion for beauty. For Treister, “beauty is what separates fine design from the mundane, tranquility from the disruptive, poetry from utility, music from noise, and spirituality from the profane.” Far from taking the narrow view often seen in contemporary architecture, Treister is a modern-day Renaissance man who has devoted his entire career to bringing beauty into the built environment. In each of the projects exquisitely illustrated within these pages, we see Treister’s personal philosophy manifested in his distinctive signature style. From architectural design rich in integral ornamentation, from furniture design to lush landscaping – always in total harmony – his artistry has garnered international acclaim for his dedication to the highest ideals in tropical landscape, creative architecture and expressionistic art.
