Independent Bookstore Day Scratch Offs

When you spend or donate $75 or more in person at our Coral Gables or Coconut Grove locations, you’ll receive a scratch-off card. Every card is a winner, offering prizes like discounts, free items, and the grand prize: a $100 shopping spree!

Sprayed Edges with Positively Bookish Co. in CORAL GABLES- Sprayed edges cost $15 per book and guests can get any book sprayed that they have purchased at Books & Books.

For Kids: Design Your Own Bookmark in CORAL GABLES- Join us for a special opportunity to color and design your very own, one-of-a-kind bookmarks.

In Memory of Mark Trowbridge 

This 2025 Independent Bookstore Day will be a bittersweet occasion for us, because it will be the first one we’ll have to celebrate without Mark A. Trowbridge. A cherished community leader and steadfast supporter of Books & Books, Mark was a wellspring of kindness and generosity in our community. His unwavering passion for literature, education, and the arts touched countless lives.

The Books & Books family, as well as the wider community, mourn this tremendous loss. Though he may no longer be with us, his legacy will continue to inspire, uplift, and connect us all, just as he always did.

It is with profound gratitude that we celebrate Mark’s legacy.
