About the Book:

How can I help?

How can I live a life full of impact?

How can I use my skills, creativity, experiences, and resources to effect change in my community and the world?

How can I find and live my purpose?

These are questions many of us ask throughout our lives, and especially when faced with another tragedy or challenge affecting humanity, our environment, or our community. Through her book The Answer is You: A Guidebook to Creating a Life Full of Impact, author Alex Amouyel, the founding executive director of MIT Solve (an initiative with a mission to solve world challenges) is here to help you answer those questions.

You (yes, YOU) have unique skills and resources (your superpowers!) you can bring to create positive social impact, whether that is through your job and career, your volunteering, your investing, your giving and more. The Answer Is You will inspire you to start thinking critically about the problems we face and the solutions we might be able to offer to enact change.

Changing the world happens one person at a time. Throughout this book, you will meet Temie, Iman, Roya, Luis, and many more changemakers, impact innovators, and activists from all around the world. You can discover the stories of how they got started, how they go about effecting change, and why they do what they do.

But this is not just a book with stories about other people. It is a guidebook for YOU. It is full of advice and frameworks so that you too can get started creating and living a life full of impact.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • Guidance on how to take action with the skills and resources you have to effect change in the world in big and small ways.
  • A path to think about the problems you want to solve, the purpose that will keep you going, and the solutions you might bring forth in your community and in the world.

Now, more than ever, the world cannot wait. Join Alex and create your life full of impact!

About the Author:

ALEX AMOUYEL is the founding Executive Director of MIT Solve, an initiative supporting social innovators globally and with a mission to solve world challenges. Throughout her career at MIT, the Clinton Global Initiative, Save the Children, and more, she has met countless world leaders, CEOs, Heads of State, and Nobel Prize winners. And while these people all have a role to play in solving world challenges, it is a new generation of social entrepreneurs, activists, and changemakers who hold the most promise. Through this work, Alex has also found that like these problem-solvers, we all have a role to play in effecting change in big and small ways in our community, in taking action against injustice, and in living a life full of impact.
