About the Book:

So much of our emotional development in the most formative years of our lives can be tied to the little moments that make up the biggest pictures. First loves, first losses, first clumsy and painful navigations through our own mental health. Many of the most passionate and striking memories can be found in these ‘firsts’ that have brought us to new chapters in life.

This book is about those firsts as well as the roads they can lead down. It captures both the giddy joy of new experiences as well as the jaded retrospection of an older self. We may no longer be our innocent childhood selves, but the stories from that era in our lives became the clay that molded who we are now.

From my first kiss to my first mental health prescription, I have grown and changed and lived so much. This is my attempt at a love letter to all of those beautiful moments that made themselves a part of the mosaic I now see in the mirror. After all, some of the shiniest things are made up of little broken fragments.
