About the Book:

In her first collection of poetry, Sofia Iriarte takes the reader on a journey from her childhood in Spain to her immigration to the United States. Bravery, Heart & Red Shoes is an English-Spanish poetry collection that encapsulates her teenage years and showcases her coming of age through her desires, feelings, and acceptance of self.

Sofia Iriarte is a Barcelona-born poet and author who migrated to the United States at the age of 16 and is studying Communications at Florida International University. Sofia made her literary debut with her poem “El Jardí De La Vida,” which was published in a magazine in Barcelona at the age of 12. She also had her poem “The Fae” published in the poetry anthology The Spell Jar: Poetry for the Modern Witch, and she has also been featured in Love Letters To The 305 and Glow: Self-Care Poetry for the Soul as well as in Somos Weston Magazine.
