Catalina Prieto was born and raised in Miami, Florida, with dreams of immersing herself in the creative and artistic realm. A self-taught poet, Catalina draws inspiration from other authors and is driven to compose poetry on mental health, relationships, and self-love. Catalina believes writing is the most authentic form of self-expression, offering audiences a place to read and feel understood. Catalina made her literary debut with featured poems in Love Letters To The 305, a poetry and photography anthology dedicated to the city of Miami, and has since also been featured in Glow: Self-Care Poetry for the Soul. Diving deep into her work, Catalina communicates her perspectives on life to the rest of the world and allows herself to be vulnerable in her debut poetry collection, transcend.
