About the Event:

Please join us for the release of Water Ecologies for our Shared Future, a new publication by EXILE Books, produced by ARTSail. Artist Christina Pettersson and ARTSail Executive Director  Ombretta Agro’ Andruff come together to celebrate World Ocean Day and discuss this collaborative publication and the impact that the arts can have on conservation and environmental activism.  Following the panel discussion, the Pelican Harbor Seabird Station will be present to introduce you to their work on wildlife rehabilitation with some special guest appearances!
Water Ecologies for our Shared Future creates an ode to the rich and diverse ecosystems that make South Florida such a unique and threatened treasure. Through Blanca de la Torre’s inventive and witty storytelling and Pettersson’s superb ability to draw complex landscapes, Water Ecologies for our Shared Future will capture its readers and help them fall in love with South Florida’s history and its complex and at-risk biodiversity.
