In-Person: Alhambra Orchestra Performance in the Courtyard Café
Join us Sunday, February 12 at 11am at our Café Courtyard for a LIVE flute and cello performance
by Carol Naveira-Nicholson and Sara Wigderson of the Alhambra Orchestra!
CAROL NAVEIRA-NICHOLSON is principal flutist of the Miami Symphony and a member since the orchestra’s inception in 1989. She also performs with the Alhambra Orchestra (where she also serves on the board), New Directions Chamber Winds, New River Orchestra and Compositum Musica Novae. Since 2011 Ms. Nicholson has been on the artistic staff of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony. She is also a guest teaching artist and substitute teacher at Ransom Everglades School and maintains a private studio.
SARA WIGDERSON is the principal cellist of the Alhambra Orchestra and also enjoys performing with local musicians in small ensembles. Sara completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami and is a licensed psychologist. She received a B.A. in psychology and music performance from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
These musicians are members of the Alhambra Orchestra, Miami’s community orchestra, dedicated to providing accessible, live classical music performances to the public of Miami-Dade County.
