About the Artist:
NEREA (she/her/ella) is a Latina artist and illustrator based in Miami, FL. She is an immigrant, a survivor of trauma, a feminist, and – a work in progress. Her body of work continuously explores divergent emotions and ideas through the use of nontraditional materials like coffee, tea, fabric and leaves. She likes to describe her work as a raw, intimate and genuine reflection of herself and the things she feels, sees and thinks and thinks she sees. Her art, like herself, is ever evolving – both mess and masterpiece.
Nerea has participated in the Coconut Grove Art Festival, has collaborated with other artists and musicians, and sold many pieces without an exhibit.
