WHO IS MIAMI: STORYTELLING FOR CHANGE
Join us for an inspiring talk & gallery night to discover community champions & stories they tell
Who Is Miami is a multimedia storytelling collaboration between Impact.Edition and Good Miami Project to capture the tremendous – and sometimes invisible – efforts of local changemakers advancing social and environmental justice.
The gallery will play backdrop to an engaging panel of leaders who are masters of their craft: from activism to poetry to photography, we’re exploring the art of storytelling & the power it has to change our world for the better.
Featured speakers:
Betty Osceola | Miccosukee tribal elder, Everglades educator, & environmental advocate
Arsimmer McCoy | Florida-based storyteller, collaborative artist, educator, and cultural worker
Greg Clark | Photographer & Founder of Good Miami Project
Moderator: Samantha Schalit, Editor-in-Chief, Impact.Edition magazine
Music:
This event will also feature an amazing performance by Rudy Kenzy Lafrance, an alumnus of Guitars Over Gun. He is a talented instrumental fusion guitarist and music producer based in Miami. Beyond his musical pursuits, he also has a keen interest in composing for film and audio engineering. Rudy recently completed his studies, earning a Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music Technology from Florida Atlantic University. During his time there, he honed his abilities in recording, mixing, and mastering across various music genres like Jazz, R&B, Rock, and Pop. Rudy’s youthful energy and constant drive help uplift his signature guitar style, which blends percussion, bass, and melody into a captivating and harmonious sound.
