ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
Maureen Seaton has authored twenty poetry collections, both solo and collaborative, most recently, Fisher (Black Lawrence Press, 2018). Her awards in poetry include the Iowa Prize and Lambda Literary Award for Furious Cooking, the Audre Lorde Award for Venus Examines Her Breast, an NEA fellowship, and two Pushcart Prizes. Her work has appeared in Best American Poetry as well as numerous literary journals. Her memoir, Sex Talks to Girls (University of Wisconsin Press, 2010), also garnered a “Lammy” and was recently reprinted in paperback (2018). With poet Neil de la Flor, she edited the anthology Reading Queer: Poetry in a Time of Chaos (Anhinga Press, 2018). Seaton is Professor of English/Creative Writing at the University of Miami.
Lisette Alonso is a South Florida native who has held a variety of non-writing related jobs. She holds an MFA from the University of Miami and is the author of the chapbooks Wednesday’s Child (Porkbelly Press) and The Album of Untaken Photos (The Lune). Her poetry has appeared with New Letters, The Tishman Review, The Nashville Review, and Poetry Superhighway. You can also find her collaborations online at Cahoodaloodaling and Hobart.
