About the Book:
From graphic novelist Dan Goldman, a tropical horror series about haunted Miami real estate, psychedelics, and santería. Meet Red Light Properties, brainchild of schlubby exorcist Jude and ambitious realtor Cecilia, who sell “previously-haunted” homes to South Floridians who can’t otherwise afford to own in today’s market. A nice deal for buyers, not so much for Jude and Ceci. Because in order for Jude to perform his daily exorcisms, he requires heroic doses of psychedelics to cross into the spirit world and commune with the ghosts… leaving Cecilia holding the bag with like, everything else: finding clients, closing contracts, the emotional labor of holding their family together, and… you see where this is going. Family businesses are always the worst, but this one’s an actual supernatural nightmare. A rollercoaster of ghost stories, family mishegoss, paranormal scares and druggy Florida hijinks, Red Light Properties: Unfinished Business is a slowburn fun-house mirror critique of reptile-brain late-stage American capitalism served up in a massive hardcover slab of comics.
About the Author:
Dan Goldman is a writer, artist and graphic novelist. His comics work includes Chasing Echoes, the UN-honored Priya’s Shakti series, 08: A Graphic Novel of the Campaign Trail with journalist Michael Crowley, and the Eisner-nominated Shooting War. He has written on video game franchises including The Division, The Walking Dead and Emmy-winning work on Silent Hill: Ascension. He lives in South Florida.
