Centro Cultural Españo
Nobel Laureate Camilo José Cela inaugurated this cultural centerin 1996. Since then, it has been a meeting place for literary activities,films, music and art exhibitions that showcase Spanish culture. We partner withthe center to present authors of Spanish descent or who have written on Spanishthemes.
Arts & Business Council of Miami
Books & Books hosts seasonal roundtablediscussions on cultural arts that are organized by the council in an effort tocreate working partnerships between the corporate and cultural communities inSouth Florida. Books & Books received the Corporate Arts Partner Award fromthis organization in 2006.
University of Miami Creative Writing Program
Books & Books hosts a reading series byparticipating students in the MFA program which prepares talented students forcareers in writing. We have also partnered with the Department of CreativeWriting and it's director Maureen Seaton (a published poet and author) topresent the Authors' Studio. Patterned after the successful cable tv show, thisprogram brings authors to the campus for interviews in which creative writingstudents and the general student body participates.
