Owner Mitchell Kaplan is the co-founder of this international book fair, which has been instrumental in helping to place Miami on the literary and cultural map.


Florida Center for the Literary Arts
Founded in 2002, and based at Miami-Dade College, this organization is dedicated to promoting appreciation for the literary arts, through its five components: The Reading Connection, Write in Our Midst, News and Views, From Page to Stage, and Miami Book Fair International.


Food Network South Beach Food & Wine Festival
Books & Books coordinates guest chef booksignings at this annual destination weekend event, with star-studded dinner series and wine, culinary and lifestyle seminars that feature prominent figures in the international wine, spirits and culinary industries. Next year's festival is scheduled for February 2009.


Miami International Film Festival
Books & Books supports this annual festival which brings the best of world cinema to South Florida, with a special focus on Ibero-American cinema. In return, MIFF collaborates with Books & Books on author events that are connected to film and the art of filmmaking. For example, when screenwriter/novelist Guillermo Arriaga visited Books & Books to promote his new novel, The Night Buffalo, MIFF was a co-sponsor of the reading and subsequent screening of "Amores Perros" in the Books & Books courtyard.


Macy's 5-Star Cellar Kitchen
Books & Books presents cookbook authors at Macy's department store in Dadeland and Aventura Mall. Their stage, located in the Kids & Home Store, is equipped with a cooking demonstration kitchen and video screen coverage. Recent guests include Rachael Ray, Bobby Flay and Cat Cora. Upcoming guests include Amy Sedaris and Paula Deen.


Merrill Lynch ArteAmericas
Books & Books offers a selection of art books at this premier Latin American art fair, featuring 50 of the best galleries from 18 countries in the Americas and the world, and showcasing over 200 renowned to contemporary artists.
