Carolina Garcia-Aguilera

Carolina Garcia-Aguilera was born in Havana, Cuba, and her family emigrated to the United States one year after Fidel Castro took power. After being a former licensed detective in Miami for more than ten years, handling both civil and criminal cases, Garcia-Aguilera decided that she would much prefer writing detective stories to living them. She has produced numerous novels following the series for Lupo Solano Mysteries, including Havana Heat, A Miracle in Paradise, Bloody Shame, Bloody Waters and Bitter Sugar. She also wrote Luck of the Draw, and One Hot Summer.
