Alex Flinn writes young-adult novels about troubled yet multi-dimensional teens. She studied opera in College (she's a coloratura) and then went to law school but she is a self-taught writer, who read the genre prolifically and checked out books on writing from a library. She has written Fade to Black, Nothing to Lose, Breaking Point, Breathing Underwater, and Diva. Her newest novel, Beastly, will be out in the Fall 2007.
