Paul Levine

PAUL LEVINE worked as a newspaper reporter, a law professor and a trial lawyer before becoming a full-time novelist and screenwriter. He claims this is not because of his inability to hold a job.
SOLOMON vs. LORD, a battle-of-the-sexes courtroom tale, will be published in October 2005 by Bantam. It's the first in a series featuring squabbling Miami lawyers Steve Solomon and Victoria Lord, who can't agree on "good morning," much less the meaning of due process. Putting the sin in synergy, the sparks fly when they defend a glamorous young widow accused of killing her wealthy and kinky husband.
The winner of the John D. MacDonald award, Paul is the author of the critically acclaimed Jake Lassiter novels. Paul also wrote more than 20 episodes of the TV series "JAG," which gave him an opportunity to steer a nuclear submarine and land on the deck of an aircraft carrier, all without endangering national security. He co-created the CBS show "First Monday" starring James Garner and Joe Mantegna, which Paul claims would have been a hit except for bad reviews, weak ratings, and ancient demographics.
