Christo's Surrounded (Pink) Islands 30th Anniversary and Inspiration for Art Basel's Gator in the Bay: In 1983 international artist Christo along with the help of over 400 volunteers "surrounded" 13 islands off the coast of Miami and made Miami smile again especially on the heels of the 1980 riots. He also inspired many artists like Photographer Lloyd Goradesky and Historian Cesar Becerra who will discuss Christo's legacy and give a behind the scenes discussion of their upcoming 230 foot Art Basel Week moving installation "Gator in the Bay".
