FUNDRAISER:
The 4th annual Coral Gables Community Foundation self-guided Tour of Kitchens offers something
for everyone. The tour will showcase some of Coral Gables’ most spectacular
designer kitchens, local area restaurants, and sought-after
chefs. To tempt your taste buds, each kitchen will offer a cooking
demonstration or tasting (some will have both!) by a favorite
local restaurant chef. Each of the homes will feature unique and
stunning designer table settings that are sure to inspire!
Also included are special features along the way such as napkin folding
origami, foodie merchandise, home goods
from local purveyors, and an optional presentation on Kitchen Design
by nationally recognized Kitchen Designer, Julia Johnston.
Your kitchen tour will conclude with Desserts
& Book Signings at
Books & Books between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. with celebrity chefs and
cookbook authors signing books, and offering b in the kitchen. The $50 ticket price includes all
of the above (excluding any purchases made from on-site vendors
offering merchandise)—beautiful homes, fabulous kitchens, tasty samplings of
food and adult beverages, local celebrity chefs, designer table settings,
recipes and much, much more! Join us for one of the most highly anticipated
fund raisers of the year. For more information, call 305-446-9670, or email info@gablesfoundation.org.

In Infectious
(Allworth Press, $24.95),
acclaimed performance coach Achim Nowak
introduces the reader to his powerful four Levels of Connection. Tested and
honed through fifteen years of coaching senior-level executives around the
globe, Nowak's techniques instantly transform the skills taught in traditional
business communication and NLP programs. Infectious
offers simple language cues that deepen and shift the art of conversation. It
breaks the idea of power into five tangible plugs that we can turn to--and turn
on. These plugs recharge the quality of our connection with anyone we meet. It
shows how we can clarify our intentions, and how this clarification immediately
fosters a more potent connection. Finally, this book demystifies the experience
of energy--the deepest of the four levels, and the root of any connection. It
looks at how we access our energy. Remove energy blocks. Play with energy and
own it.
