Bari Lyman, founder of MeetToMarry.com, is dating-for-marriage evangelist who is passionate about helping singles achieve their dreams of finding meaningful love. After years of consistently attracting the "wrong ones," Bari had a revelation that transformed her life. It was this revelation that allowed her to meet and marry her ideal spouse over eight years ago. Meet to Marry: A Dating Revolution for the Marriage Minded (Health Communications, $14.95) turns Bari's dating revelation into a marriage readiness revolution! Via her book and the MeetToMarry site and coaching programs, she encourages singles to have their own dating revelation, much like she had. Scores of hopeful singles have used her three-step approach—Assess, Attract, and Act—to change their mind-set and remove blind spots to find the perfect relationship match.
Start: 7:30 pm
Rock the Casbah (Simon & Schuster, $26.99) takes readers deep into the struggle within the Muslim world where a growing movement defies and challenges extremism and repudiates Osama bin Laden, his deviant doctrine, and his violent disciples. In Robin Wright’s recent reporting, she discovers a new trend spreading within the Muslim world—the rejection of Islamic extremists. This new jihad, which Wright describes in its many manifestations, has various goals. For some Muslims, it’s about reforming the faith. For others, it’s about reforming political systems. For all, it is about achieving basic rights—on their own terms, not Western ones. What is at its heart is the rejection of venomous ideologies, suicide bombs, plane hijackings, hostage-takings, and mass violence. Muslims, Wright demonstrates, are doing what the West cannot—confronting extremism on its own terms and rescuing the faith from a virulent minority and changing history. This event is a presentation of the Howard and Sharon Socol Series in collaboration with Books & Books.

Andersen left Australia to take a “break”
that turned into a journey of more than ten years. Changing her corporate high
heels to hiking boots started Kathy on a journey where she would experience the

Your Shoes, Live Your Greatest Life (KA Connect, $19.95) , each chapter

tools to chart their own journey of discovery, and to make positive decisions
for a purposeful life. Kathy reveals a journey that we can each take to live
our greatest life, and enables each reader to embark upon their own journey as
they turn each page. A portion of the proceeds from tonight's event will be donated to Shake-A-Leg Miami.
